My Most Recent Photo Project: Setting Flowers On Fire

You recall that super secret #photography project that I was going on about last weekend? Well, here's the result: a six image series that I've titled Fire Blossoms. These flowers were actually on fire--Photoshop was only used for cropping, some touch up work, and a bit of color manipulation on a few of the images.

The series could be seen as an exploration of one entity giving life to another through consumption. However as each photograph's title suggests, the relationship can appear more complex than that with each ignition seeming to develop a personality of its own that's reflected in its form. Alternately, it's a collection of neat looking burning flowers.

I'm considering making prints available for order and have begun investigating my production options, costs, distribution methods, etc... So if this is something that you guys would like to see happen, then let me know and I'll press on to come up with all of the necessary details.
